Local attractions include Warwick Castle, Heritage Motor Museum, Broadway Halls, Croft New Place, Mary Arden's House, Blenheim Palace and Coventry Cathedral. The Tudor facade and original stone floors in the hotel's reception suggest a style of wealthy living pre-dating the Bard himself. Over the years the Mercure Shakespeare has been a firm favourite with politicians, diplomats, business people and scholars alike.
