The Waggon & Horses is a family owned country pub hotel restaurant in North Essex close to the Suffolk county border half way between Colchester and Cambridge near to Halstead, Braintree, Sudbury and Haverhill. A good stopping off place for Stansted Airport, Constable Country and Hedingham Castle. This Inn, built in the 16th century provides a warm welcome and plenty of charm with its heavily beamed bar and dining room. We are open all day providing a range of choice wines, spirits and beers, as well as bar and dining room menus all home prepared and cooked by our chef. As a Free House we take pride in our range of real ales, most of these being local to East Anglia. Wi-Fi broadband connection available free to guests.
